We experienced an absolutely delightful evening at the California Yacht Club in Marina Del Rey during our White Asparagus Dinner on June 7, 2023! It was truly an unforgettable event filled with the pleasure of savoring fresh white asparagus straight from Germany. The ambiance created the perfect backdrop for fostering connections and engaging with professionals representing various industries.

Event Description

Join us for an exclusive GABA premiere event that celebrates the seasonal delicacy of German white asparagus, in one of the most breathtaking settings at the exclusive California Yacht Club in Marina Del Rey. Freshly harvested for you in Germany, this world-renowned ingredient is airlifted just in time for an exquisite 4-course meal that revolves around the “edible ivory”, culminating with an open bar and a delectable dessert.

Program

6:30 pm – 7:15 pm: Cocktail reception
7.15 pm – 8:45 pm: Seated 4-course dinner
8:45 pm – 9.30 pm: Networking and dessert

Kick off the evening at our cocktail reception on the outside patio, with a mesmerizing view of the main harbor channel at sunset. Then, join us in our private banquet room for a seated dinner that showcases the unique and delicate flavors of white asparagus in every dish.

Menu & beverages

Hors-d’oeuvres:
White and Green Asparagus Salad – a colorful blend of crisp garden greens, tender asparagus spears, and fragrant herbs, accented with a touch of pink pepper and a lemon-olive oil vinaigrette

Appetizer:
White Asparagus Cream Soup – velvety and white asparagus infused

Main Course:
Classic Steamed White Asparagus – tender young potatoes, drizzled with brown, and served with a classic sauce hollandaise  – optional sliced cold ham served separately for the table

Dessert:
Flourless Chocolate Cake – a rich and indulgent chocolate cake, accompanied by a tangy and refreshing raspberry coulis

Bar service, including selected wines, cocktails, beers, and non-alcoholic beverages, is open from 6.30 pm to 9.30 pm, and all drinks are included.
