GABA Innovation Breakfast at BMW Group Technology Office USA – Highlighting the CES Trends
Amidst the bustling landscape of Silicon Valley, GABA recently hosted another of its highly anticipated Innovation Breakfasts. This time, the vibrant discussions and networking took place within the confines of the BMW Group Technology Office USA in Mountain View, commemorating the Bavarian car manufacturer’s 25th anniversary in the heart of Silicon Valley. Host of the event, Dr. Claus Dorrer, reflected on BMW’s milestones in the Bay Area and outlined the innovation hub’s importance for his company. A recent example includes a collaboration with Meta to integrate their Quest oculars into vehicles for safety and entertainment purposes.
The ensuing discussion, expertly moderated by GABA IG Chair Steffen Bartschat, centered around the latest trends and observations from CES Las Vegas. Beyond the buzzwords of AI, robotics, and futuristic flying taxis, attendees delved into the nuances of emerging consumer trends expected to shape the technological landscape in 2024 and beyond.
Bay Area innovation executives, gathered in this exclusive invite-only event, seized the opportunity to connect and exchange insights, forging new relationships and strengthening existing ones. As a special guest, GABA welcomed Prof. Dr. Eckart Würzner, the Lord Mayor of Heidelberg, who was on a visiting tour to Palo Alto, Heidelberg’s sister city.
Reflecting on this riveting morning at the BMW Group Technology Office USA, we thank all attendees for joining the conversation and sharing their thoughts. Especially, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to GABA Premium Corporate member and sponsor BMW Group and our esteemed host, Claus Dorrer. Stay tuned for more enriching events and opportunities to connect with fellow industry leaders. The journey of innovation never ceases, and we invite you to join us as we navigate the ever-evolving landscape of technology and entrepreneurship in the transatlantic sphere.
