GABA Welcomes Thomas Vogel as its New Chief Financial Officer

We are very pleased to announce that Thomas Vogel has been elected to join the GABA Board of Directors. With his strong financial background, Thomas has also been assuming the responsibilities of GABA CFO.

Outside of GABA, Thomas Vogel is operating his own Venture Advisory business, specializing in advisory board services, interim-management, early-stage VC investments and innovation and growth consulting, serving founders, start-up clients, corporates and VC organizations.

Thomas has been active as VC investor and board member at various early-stage and growth-stage companies in the segments AI, data analytics, IoT, robotics, mobility, smart cities, clean energy, communications technology and online marketplaces in the US and Europe for more than a decade.

Thomas worked for ABB Technology Ventures as Vice President in the US and for DTCP and T-Venture in Silicon Valley and Germany. He also held positions with Credit Suisse First Boston’s M&A Group, publicly listed Internet Investment Holding IMH, T-Online and Scout24.

Futhermore, his career also includes first-hand entrepreneurial experience as Co-Founder and Executive Director of the Scout24 affiliated marketplace local24.de and as CFO for a German online video platform start-up.

Last but not least, Thomas is also active as a Mentor at the German Accelerator and Alchemist Accelerator.

Thomas Vogel has lived in the San Francisco Bay Area since 2014 and is a passionate sailor and nature enthusiast.
