Are We Prepared? With COVID Through the Winter
Yesterday, GABA, alongside the German American Business Council Boston, Inc. (GABC) and the support of the German Consulates Boston and San Francisco, hosted the virtual discussion panel “Are We Prepared? With COVID Through the Winter.” Many distinguished panelists such as GABC’s very own Dr. Mridul Agrawal, President and Co-Founder of iuvando Health, Dr. Beate Antonich of the German Consulate General San Francisco, Dr. Sonja Kreibich of the German Consul General Boston, California State Senator Dr. Richard Pan, Dr. Jake Scott of the Stanford School of Medicine and Dr. Kathryn Hall who is the Deputy Commissioner of the Boston Public Health Commission discussed the vital importance of efficient virus testing and how disinformation is a deathly problem today and towards the future.
The importance of vaccines was a key topic along with the importance of factual scientific information being publicly available. In regards to the future, the panelists discussed many new antibody treatment methods that are being tested to prevent future outbreaks. The panelists also compared and contrasts the differences between the handling of COVID in Germany and the United States.
