GABA Founders Hub Startup mimofit Celebrates Major Milestones

mimofit, a GABA Founders Hub startup, brings science-backed exercise therapy into the home. It started with Parkinson’s and is now expanding into preventive senior care. Its FDA-registered medical device uses small light-and-sound pods to guide quick reaching and stepping exercises, and an app adapts to each user and tracks progress. In a randomized Parkinson’s trial, walking speed rose 23–31% in five weeks. A 2026 randomized controlled trial in the Journal of Parkinson’s Disease showed faster reaction times in reaching and stepping.

Momentum is impressive: mimofit won the CTA Innovation For All Startup Experience at Eureka Park at CES 2026, took 1st place at San Francisco’s February Founder’s Showcase, and graduated from the AARP AgeTech Collaborative Accelerator. Its first production batch sold out in pre-sales, and a partnership with Rock Steady Boxing brings mimofit into Parkinson’s exercise classes.
