Executive Director
 Caroline Raynaud is GABA’s President and General Manager since April 2005. Caroline has been working in international sales and business development for over 10 years. She grew up in Germany and finished her graduate studies in the United States at University of Illinois. Then she spent 5 years in Paris and worked as a European Key Account Manager for Computer Intelligence. Being perfectly fluent in German, French and English, she was responsible for the company’s major clients across Europe. In 1999, Caroline moved from Paris to California and started with Market Research leader IDC (International Data Corporation) being in charge of International Business Development. She consulted US based companies that wanted to expand to Europe and Asia. Later on, she took on the role as Sales Manager for IDC’s Enterprise Major Accounts group.

Membership Director
 Yiman joined GABA as a project manager since September 2010. Being perfectly fluent in German, English and Chinese, she is able to interact with clients and partners with different backgrounds. Yiman holds master degrees in Economics and Sociology as well as a bachelor in Chinese Studies. Yiman has volunteered for GABA in the past before putting her project and account management skills to work in the translation industry. She will be the new GABA Membership contact and is also responsible for the GABA's various social media platforms. She can be reached at

Marketing Director
Gitta Ramakrishnan joined GABA as Marketing Director in July 2012 after her second relocation to the Bay Area where she already lived from 2003 to 2008. As a multilingual business professional she has more than fifteen years of sales and marketing, travel and event management, customer service, internet search engine product support and procurement experience in a multi-cultural business environment. She worked at reputable companies in the US and Germany, such as Google, Siemens, Hapag-Lloyd, and Swissair. Event Director
 Sandra Schmid joined GABA as Event Director in Juli 2012. Her professional background centers around project and account management and she has worked in import/export as well as fulfillment for the high tech industry. Sandra holds a BS in International Business from Menlo College. She grew up in Germany but has lived in the Bay area since 1990. Business Development Director
Regine Staufenberg joined GABA as Business Development Manager in 2010. Regine's professional background centers around sales, marketing and account management in the high tech industry. Regine, a native German, has lived in various Western states and Canada over the years but has made the Bay area her permanent home. In her spare time she enjoys the outdoors and spending time with her family. In her position at GABA Regine focuses on expanding opportunities for companies and organizations seeking visibility in the German-American business community of the Bay area. She can be reached at

Webmaster
Martina Walther is GABA’s webmaster since April 2005. She is doing contracting work in web design and programming and teaches computer classes. Martina also volunteers on the board and as webmaster at the American Women's Club of Düsseldorf.
Martina holds a Master's Degree in Computer Science from the University of Technology in Munich, Germany. She grew up in Munich, lived in the Bay Area for 7 years and relocated to Düsseldorf, Germany, in January 2008. She can be reached at
